Soil and Groundwater Monitoring
Who is required to carry out soil and groundwater monitoring?
It is necessary to establish a soil and groundwater monitoring system and carry out observations in areas where, during economic activity, soil and groundwater contamination may occur or has already occurred, for example:
- Fuel stations, oil and gas storage sites,
- Production facilities using chemicals (e.g., wood treatment, paint manufacturing, leather goods production),
- Agricultural areas,
- Landfills and waste disposal sites, etc.
How is the monitoring carried out?
To perform soil and groundwater monitoring, we provide the following services:
- Installation of groundwater monitoring boreholes,
- Groundwater sampling from monitoring boreholes,
- Ensuring sample testing in an accredited laboratory,
- Preparation of a monitoring report.
Soil and groundwater sampling is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the license issued by the State Environmental Service. The filter section of the monitoring borehole is placed in such a way that groundwater level fluctuations fall within the filter interval.
